Dr. Vickie Spitzer is a dedicated Clinical Psychologist and the Owner/Partner of S&W Psychological Services, LLC, where she brings over two decades of extensive experience to her practice. With a career spanning back to 2001, Dr. Spitzer has cultivated a diverse background in mental health, ranging from managing residential treatment programs to providing high-level clinical supervision and forensic evaluations.

 

Dr. Spitzer specializes in conducting detailed psychological assessments, including cognitive, personality, and neuropsychological evaluations, which serve as the foundation for effective, evidence-based treatment strategies. Her therapeutic approach is rooted in proven methodologies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and family systems therapy. She is deeply committed to helping clients navigate complex challenges, with particular expertise in trauma, attachment deficits, and mental health issues secondary to chronic medical conditions.

 

Beyond her clinical work, Dr. Spitzer is a recognized leader in the field. She currently serves as the Director of Evaluations at McGady & Associates Psychological Services and is a partner at AZ Heart To Home, LLC. She is passionate about professional development, frequently mentoring psychology interns and trainees, and imparting her knowledge through public speaking, consultation, and training. Dr. Spitzer holds a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) from the Arizona School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University. She is known for her organized, rigorous, and methodical approach to treatment planning and report writing, as well as her ability to connect with clients in a meaningful, empathetic way.
